Exploring Identity
In this Unit, I decided to explore different ways to present someone’s facial features and movements. I wanted to distort an individual’s environment and blur their physical appearance. I experimented mostly with a film camera and I tried to manipulate the developing process of negative strips. The photo to your left is one of my favourites; it has been solarised so that you can only see the outline of her body. In the future, I would like to make a whole series of solarised images.
